Individual Therapy

Counseling help – what to expect:

Individual therapy entails the process by which a client works one on one with a trained licensed mental health clinician. The sessions are conducted in a safe, caring, judgment free and confidential manner. Individual therapy focuses on the individuals’ concerns that are creating emotional distress; the clinician will also ask questions on your history and background to understand the whole person.

Each session is approximately 50 to 55 minutes in duration and can be performed via in person or telehealth as requested.

In order for therapy to be effective, it is important to be prepared for each session by maintaining an open mind, identifying goals to work towards and establishing realistic expectations.
